A roofer died after falling off a barn Saturday morning in Shirley, police said.
The man, who was in his 20s, was working on the roof of a barn at 22 Holden Road around 8:30 a.m. when he fell, according to Shirley Police Chief Sam Santiago.
He was going to be flown by helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester but died before the MedFlight was called, Santiago said.
The man has not yet been identified, according to Santiago.
“He was obviously a contract worker for a roofing company,” he said. “They were doing some work at a barn at that address.”
The incident remains under investigation by Shirley police and Massachusetts State Police.
