Kollam: People who pass by Piravanthur native Abhilash’s house get confused thinking they have reached a railway station. The truth behind the train which halted where no railway track is found is really interesting. It is not a real train, but a compound wall of a house. Abhilash has designed the compound wall of his house in the model of a train.
His love for train journeys influenced him to create a train-model compound wall for his house.
This unique wall has been surprising everyone who reaches Abhilash’s residence.
The front part of the wall is made in the same model of a train. Windows and doors of a train bogie are also seen. The colour of the wall is also similar to a real train. Hence, the wall is a perfect model of a train.
Abhilash became passionate about trains after having regular train journeys through Kollam-Sengottai metre gauge route. He used to travel in trains while studying at ITI and is worked as a trainee in a metre company.
At present, Abhilash is working as a contract worker. When he constructed his own house, Abhilash, who is a painter too, decided to construct the compound wall in the model of a train. He painted the wall making it a perfect replica of a train.
The gate to the house is also constructed in the model of a train’s door.
Abhilash has proved his artistic skills in various places of his house. The wall of his well is constructed in the model of a tractor’s wheel.
His wife Manju and two children, Giri and Mayookha, also support his artworks.
Many people are approaching Abhilash to construct a train model compound wall at their houses.
